Biography

Brandon joined the Radiation and Surface Science Engineering Laboratory (RSSEL) in 2008 as an undergraduate student and continued working with the group as a graduate student in 2012 at Purdue University. His research areas include fundamental work on low energy ion-solid interactions, self-organized nanostructuring, and nanotechnology of multicomponent systems. Brandon is currently finalizing his Ph.D. studies at the University of Illinois with Professor Allain and collaborates with the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) research institute in Dresden, Germany working on fundamental ion-solid interactions, focusing on the mechanisms involved in the self-organization of ion-induced nanopatterns.
